Bilateral webinar on national security: perspectives from New Zealand and Ukraine

The New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (Auckland branch) and the Ukrainian Foreign Policy Association invite you to this webinar to share analytical perspectives on various national security issues, both traditional and unconventional, affecting New Zealand and Ukraine.

This webinar takes place in a context shaped by the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the recent publication of a scholarly book produced by the Centre for Defence and Security Studies of Massey University on a myriad of threats for national security defined in the volume as an “intersection of domestic and international security.” The webinar will focus on select topics of the publication which are also of relevance for Ukraine’s national security and foreign policy. While the security environments of Ukraine and New Zealand are dramatically different and distinct the expert contributions from both countries are expected to identify common interests and collaborative approaches, both academic and practical. The webinar presentations will be considered for publication in the academic journals of the organisations involved in the webinar.
