Russia’s war against Ukraine has wide-reaching consequences beyond the traditional borders of Europe. What are these consequences for the Indo-Pacific region and for New Zealand itself? How is Indo-Pacific security connected with that of Euro-Atlantic security? Join us for a discussion with Dr. Benedetta Berti, Head of NATO’s Policy Planning Unit at the Office of Secretary General, who will explain NATO's outlook on cooperation with Indo-Pacific partners and NATO's wish to strengthen its partnerships in this region, and with New Zealand in particular.
The event is chaired by Associate Professor William Hoverd, with opening remarks by Her Excellency Ms. Iona Thomas, High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to New Zealand.
This event is collaboratively organised by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, The High Commission of the United Kingdom, New Zealand Institute of International Affairs and Massey University’s Centre for Defence and Security Studies.
Attendance is free. Canapés and refreshments will be served.
