NZIIA AGM and Annual Lecture 2025

NZIIA members and select guests are warmly invited to attend the NZIIA national AGM, followed by an annual lecture with Hon Judith Collins KC, New Zealand Minister of Defence.

- 6pm-7pm - Annual Lecture and discussion with Hon Judith Collins KC
- 7pm - 8pm - Drinks and Canapes
About the event
Every year, NZIIA holds an annual lecture featuring a prominent person in international affairs affecting New Zealand. In recent years NZIIA Annual Lectures have been delivered by:
- Rt Hon Winston Peters, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister;
- Anna Fifield, Asia Pacific Editor of the Washington Post; and
- Hon Damien O'Connor, then Minister for Trade and Export Growth.

You can attend online or in person. Please select your preferred option when registering.
If you would like to attend both the AGM and Annual Lecture, please select tickets for both when registering.
Attendance is free, however you are welcome to make a contribution towards the event cost and ongoing running of NZIIA.
Registration is essential. One ticket per person. Each ticket must contain your first and surname that matches your ID.
If, after registering, you are unable to attend the event please cancel your ticket to ensure other people are able to attend. A waitlist may operate.
Members and guests are asked to adhere to the NZIIA Code of Integrity and Conduct.
About Hon Judith Collins KC
Judith Collins is the Attorney-General, Minister of Defence, Minister for Digitising Government, Minister for the Public Service, Minister Responsible for the GCSB, Minister Responsible for the NZSIS and Minister for Space. She is the MP for Papakura and was first elected to Parliament to represent the seat of Clevedon in 2002.
Judith held a number of Ministerial Portfolios in the fifth National Government including Police, Justice, Corrections and Revenue. She was leader of the Opposition 2020-21.
Prior to her election to Parliament, Judith was a lawyer and company director. She was Chair of the Casino Control Authority and served as President of the Auckland District Law Society and Vice-President of the New Zealand Law Society.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws with Honours and a Master of Taxation Studies from the University of Auckland.
