Global Britain!  Mr John Pearson, United Kingdom Deputy High Commissioner, will speak to the Wairarapa Branch of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs on what is meant by ’Global Britain’.

Mr Pearson is an Asia specialist, who came to Wellington directly after being the British Ambassador to Laos.  Previously he was the deputy head of the China division at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and he has also worked in Hong Kong and Singapore. A graduate of King’s College, London, his studies focused on sustainability and climate change.

Coffee and tea are available from 6:30pm. A koha from non-members is appreciated.
