International Film Festival Special Event: THE MONK AND THE GUN, a fictionalised re-telling of the abdication of the King of Bhutan, the transition to democracy, and the varying effects on the traditional lives of the villagers. A ‘gentle satire’, the film weaves a colourful tapestry with a comedic edge.

The fund raiser supports the Wairarapa Branch of the NZ Institute of International Affairs, which serves to bring highly qualified speakers to give public presentations about our nation and the current international environment.

Tickets - $22 - are limited to 92 seats.
