The New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (NZIIA) Wellington Branch invites you to the NZIIA Wellington Spring Lecture event on “Democracy, Peace and Stability- shared values of a New Zealand and Taiwan partnership” delivered by Representative Joanne Ou, mission head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New Zealand. 

Prior to her posting in Wellington, Representative Ou was the Spokesperson and Director General for the

Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taipei and has held a number of postings in New York with the United Nations Task Force in the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York.

In her speech, Representative Ou will address the current challenges in the Taiwan Strait, explore their global implications, and discuss how New Zealand and Taiwan can collaborate to uphold our shared values and the rule-based international order.

Following Representative Ou's speech there will be moderated questions. 

At the conclusion of the event attendees are invited to networking with drinks and canapés.
