Hon Justin Tkatchenko, Papua New Guina Foreign Minister, provides an overview of Papua New Guinea's foreign policy and its relations with New Zealand. The minister's address will be followed by questions and answers and concluding remarks by Sir Maarten Wevers.

About Hon Justin Tkatchenko CBE, BEM OL MP
Justin Tkatchenko was born in Australia and was a TV presenter and then director of a landscaping company in Papua New Guinea before being elected to Parliament in 2012. Tkatchenko has held housing and sports portfolios and was the minister responsible for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) during Papua New Guinea’s host year in 2018. He was appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs in August 2022. Tkatchenko is the Member of Parliament for the Port Moresby South electorate. Tkatchenko met with Foreign Minister Mahuta in Papua New Guinea in September 2022.
