Since graduating from university in 1994, HE Omur Unsay has held a number of diplomatic positions including periods in Egypt, Russia and Slovenia. From 2010-14 she was a member of Turkey’s permanent delegation to the European Union in Brussels, and between 2019-21 she was the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ minister plenipotentiary for Central Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltics. At the Masterton meeting, the Ambassador will discuss Turkey’s present position and role in Europe and the Middle East.
