SPEAKER: Hon James Marape, Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea

Hon. James Marape, MP is Papua New Guinea's eighth prime minister. After his election in 2019 he told the PNG parliament that he wanted PNG to be "the richest, black, Christian nation on planet Earth" within a decade. Mr Marape promised to review outdated resource and mining legislation, not to be pushed around by foreign corporations and ensure services were provided for his people with a fair share of revenues. Hear how he sees the future direction for Papua New Guinea.
