SPEAKER: Professor Christopher Bellitto

Christopher Bellitto, Ph.D., is Professor of History at Kean University in New Jersey, where he teaches courses in ancient and medieval history. He combines academic expertise with a well-established and extensive track record in publishing and public outreach. A media commentator on church history and contemporary Catholicism, he appears often in print, on radio, and television, including CNN and The History Channel (US domestic and international), Reuters, The New York Times, Public Radio International, and documentaries. He was a National Endowment for the Humanities recipient of an Enduring Questions Pilot Course Grant for the project, ‘Is there such a thing as a just war?’. Professor Bellitto is visiting the University of Canterbury as a Fulbright Specialist.
