Christchurch
Welcome to the Christchurch Branch of NZIIA.
The Christchurch branch includes a varied membership ranging from retired diplomats, professionals, to university staff and students. We welcome anyone with an interest in international affairs.
The Christchurch branch has close links with the University of Canterbury, including with the National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE), the Department of Political Science and International Relations and the History Department. Talks are usually held on the University’s Ilam campus and there is, on average, at least one seminar a month, during the academic year. Usually our events are held during the week, beginning at 5:30pm.
We are also delighted that our wine club is back, with tastings usually organised before the scheduled seminar.
New members, both from within and beyond the University community, are very welcome. Members also have access to the NCRE’s Friday diplomatic series.
