SPEAKERS: Tim and Judy Finn

Tim Finn is a scientist with a master’s degree in animal behaviour.  He has an enduring interest in growing grapes.  Judy Finn is a journalist with a fascination for politics, history and musing.  When they married they fostered an ambition to make beautiful wine.  They purchased an old home in Neudorf Road with electricity in two rooms, an outside long-drop, a wood stove and no water.  The rest, as they say, is history.

Their winery now exports to 16 countries.  They will discuss currency exchange, the impact of Brexit, and what it has been like securing markets throughout the world.  In addition Judy will explain the history of the winery with high hopes and no money.  Tim will comment on climate change and its effect on viticulture.  And they will both discuss how Judy managed Tim’s aversion to commerce.
